Aster ascendens Common Name: Purple Aster Size: 6"h x 1'w Sun: Sun-Part Shade H20: occ.H2O/moist Description: This flowering perennial is related to the Chilean aster but with narrower leaves and a lower growing habit. Flowers are purple, borne on 1-2' stems. Native to grassy fields, salt marshes and dry banks, this aster prefers some summer water in the cultivated garden.
