Description: This perennial is a wide ranging member of grassland, chaparral, and woodland plant communities. Clear yellow flowers appear in mid to late spring, supported by 2 foot tall leafy stems. In your garden use it in a mixed border among evergreen companions such as Ceanothus. It will appreciate a sandy or well-drained soil and occasional water.
