Description: These bulbs grow from medium to low depending on the type. Taller plant are from edges of coastal coniferous and mixed forest often in sandy soils. Lower growing plants are found in the Sierra Nevada Foothills and Cascade Range Foothills. Flower color varies from pale to golden yellow. These plants prefer sun to light shade, and should be kept dry through the summer. Plants will benefit from a protective mulch in hot summer weather.
