Description:
This tough, adaptable shrub is found around the Bay Area in dry habitats ranging from full sun to full shade. Small deep green foliage provides a nice contrast to the grays of so many chaparral plants. Stunning in fruit - hundreds of pea sized cherry red globes appear in summer, to the delight of birds. Be forewarned our plants are seedlings - only the females produce fruit, and no, we have no idea which is which. (You may want to get two).
