Description:
Native to the foothills surrounding the Central Valley, the Blue Oak inhabits dry, rocky, south and west facing slopes. With a potential height of about 50', it has fine-textured bark and bluish green leaves that turn pastel pink, orange and yellow in the fall. This oak is a good choice for a sunny, dry place in the garden. Deciduous. Once established, do not give summer water.
