Description:
This Phacelia does well in full sun with water or in dry shade. It grows quickly to 2' wide with the blue-purple, dime sized flowers held 18" above the ground. The leaves are attractively toothed, their middle green set off by purple stems. The Caterpillar Flower is summer dormant without irrigation and winter dormant with it. A native of Redwood and Douglas Fir forests on the immediate coast from Sonoma County to Oregon, and inland to Siskyou County.
