This shrubby perennial grows to 2' high and wide. The leaves will be chalky white if grown in full sun and poor soils. The flower clusters, which appear in summer, are a chartreuse yellow, fading to a rich rusty brown. This plant is a great choice for a hot dry border or rock garden. It's easy to grow, good-looking all year, and very drought tolerant. This plant comes from Ventura County where it is extremely rare.
