Yerba Buena Nursery Celebrates
50 Years of Growing Native Plants!

Founded by Gerda Isenberg in 1960, Yerba Buena Nursery has been cultivating California Native Plants in our beautiful Santa Cruz mountain location for 50 years. As we commemorate our fiftieth anniversary, we wish to thank you for your continued support and business. Come help us celebrate by visiting this historic nursery and Gerda Isenberg Native Plant garden this summer.

Farmhouse Tea Dates for 2010

Sat. May 8 - Mother's Day Tea
Sat. Jun. 12 - Wildflower Tea
Sat. Sept. 11 - Friendship Tea
Sat. Oct. 9 - Fall Tea
Sat. Nov. 13 - Harvest Tea

On these days, we offer a traditional Tea Service which includes sandwiches, scones, pastry and hot tea. Tea is served at 12 noon in the Farmhouse Great Room. Guests are seated at private tables with lovely linen and china settings. The meal is substantial, more like a "lunch." Vegetarian menu is available with advance notice. Bring a friend and combine your tea with a stroll through our gardens. Guests age 12 and over are welcome. Cost is $30 per person, prepaid, tax included. Reservations are required.

Spring and Summer present many delightful opportunities to explore California Native Plants in different fashions. Yerba Buena Nursery is a proud sponsor of the Bringing Back the Natives Garden Tour, a free self-guided tour of 60 Alameda and Contra Costa County gardens.

Explore Half Moon Bay and the surrounding area with Tours Des Fleurs, including a stop at Yerba Buena Nursery as you drive yourself to three different locations in the area and are treated to a behind the scenes look at each destination.

We Offer Delivery!

Would you like to have Yerba Buena Nursery bring native plants to your door and save the time of driving to our location?

A limited delivery service has been instituted for our nearby customers. We now offer curbside delivery to much of the Bay Area for orders over $100.

Picnic Tables

We invite you to bring your lunch with you on your next visit and enjoy it while sitting at our streamside picnic tables. Stop at Roberts Market in Woodside or Skylonda Market on Skyline for your sandwiches or salads. Bask in the sights and sounds of nature as you enjoy your meal or snack. Drinks are available for purchase in our Garden Shop.

Be Eco-Friendly, Recycle
We Need Pots!

In consideration of our environment, we recycle used one, five and fifteen gallon plastic pots in unbroken condition. We are unable to accept other pot sizes and all pots must be in reusable condition. Please bring your pots by on your next visit to our Nursery and keep them out of the landfill!
