Our Meadow:

A shot of our wildflower meadow. The clarkia are beginning to bloom! Just a few of the beautiful purple and pink flowers are visible, though many will continue to appear over the next few weeks. Baby quail chicks are running through the meadow this week as well, but they were too quick for my camera to catch. You'll have to come by in hopes of seeing them and our other wildlife yourself.

Romneya coulteri:

Large bushes of Matilija Poppies (Romneya coulteri) have begun to bloom around the nursery. These bushes were cut back to the ground a few months ago, it is amazing to see how much they grow in such a short time!

Clarkia:

After months of anticipation, the clarkia are finally beginning to bloom!

Clarkia amoena:

A close up of a Clarkia amoena flower. Native bees are buzzing through the meadow, delighted with the new flowers to pollinate.

Erigeron and Mimulus:

Clarkia aren't the only thing blooming in the meadow this year. Erigeron 'Wayne Roderick' and a Mimulus aurantiacus grow here nestled with a woodland strawberry for added green.
