Our Meadow:

A shot of our wildflower meadow. The Baby Blue Eyes have been taken over by the poppies. The lush expanse of green in the center are our clarkia varities, just about to bloom.

Eschscholzia californica:

The California Poppies (Eschscholzia californica) have been blooming for what seems like months, and are still a gorgeous accent in our garden.

Ceanothus:

Wild Lilac, or Ceanothus, grow in many areas of our gardens. This one, however, proves a beautiful sight, nearly covered from root to top in a soft green lichen.

Banana Slug:

This banana slug was enjoying the moist, foggy morning in our garden. It is just one of the many examples of wildlife you are likely to encounter during a walk in the Gerda Isenberg Native Plant Garden!

Venegasia carpesoides:

A Venegasia carpesoides (Canyon Sunflower) blooming in a corner of the garden. These beautiful sunflowers likely volunteered their place in the garden and add to the yellows and oranges that dominate the meadow this week.
