Tour des Fleurs
Tour of Half Moon Bay Nurseries -- Yerba Buena Nursery is among those that you can elect to visit on your tour.
The Half Moon Bay Coastside presents its annual nursery tour. Each tour package takes you to three different nurseries. You drive yourself to each nursery in your package, and you enjoy a one hour guided tour. There are six different tour packages to choose from.
Most of the commercial growers presented in the tour are not ordinarily open to the public, so it is a special opportunity to see the "behind the scenes" secrets of their operations. Some will also share their colorful and fascinating family history and how it shaped their businesses.
Contact the Half Moon Bay Chamber of Commerce for details.
Box Lunch
Yerba Buena Nursery will be part of the tour and is offering the option of a box lunch with advance purchase. Lunches are $15 each and must be prepaid by check. All guests are welcome to pre-order a lunch, you need not be part of the tour.
Lunch contains a chicken salad croissant sandwich, pasta salad, a fresh baked cookie, fruit and your choice of beverage. Picnic tables and benches around the nursery are available for you to sit and enjoy your meal among the company of nature.
Call (650) 851-1668 to reserve your lunch before Wednesday, July 18th.
